​​​​The California Opera Youth Ensemble is an audition-based opportunity to perform alongside culturally diverse professional instrumentalists who are highly respected and encouraging leaders, mentors, and role models in their fields and in the community. Instrumentalists are selected to audition based on performing ability, experience, desire to excel in the field, and potential to positively support and uplift other opera youth and performing artists.
